HISTORY OF APG School
APG is a private school located in Khamis, Bahrain near the historical Khamis Mosque. Founded in 1996 by Mr. Mohammed Moosa Al A’ali, it initially enrolled 250 students in grades 1 to 3. The school aims to provide high-quality education to students while embracing the historical significance of the location. Mr. Al A’ali’s goal is to produce well-educated citizens who will serve Bahrain and the world. APG is licensed by the Ministry of Education to offer its services to both Bahraini and non-Bahraini students.
APG is serving 1,394 students under the K to 12 curriculum fortified with international programmes like the Cambridge IGCSE for Grades 9 & 10, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program for Grades 11 & 12. The school requires all graduates to take the IB program and has consistently performed above the world average for many years, and outperformed many local schools by always achieving above the national average; hence, we were painstakingly rated “Outstanding” by the Bahrain Quality Assurance during the latest evaluation. In 2017, the school became a member of the Council of International Schools and is dedicated to preparing globally competent learners. APG has a strong focus on the learner as the center of the education process and is led by the Head of school Ms. Ebtisam Saeed Al-Zeera and Executive Chairman Mr. Al’Aali. The school has produced alumni who have received prestigious scholarship awards and study both locally and abroad.
