HISTORY OF APG School

APG is a private school located in Khamis, Bahrain near the historical Khamis Mosque. Founded in 1996 by Mr. Mohammed Moosa Al A’ali, it initially enrolled 250 students in grades 1 to 3. The school aims to provide high-quality education to students while embracing the historical significance of the location. Mr. Al A’ali’s goal is to produce well-educated citizens who will serve Bahrain and the world. APG is licensed by the Ministry of Education to offer its services to both Bahraini and non-Bahraini students.

APG school Founded in 1996 by the visionary school Chairman, Mr.Mohamed Moosa Alaali, Arabian Pearl Gulf (APG) School has grown into a leading educational institution in Bahrain. With a deep commitment to values-based learning and international standards, APG serves over 1,390 students from Kindergarten through Grade 12.

APG is a candidate school for the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and is fully authorised to offer the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), the IB Diploma Programme (DP), and the IB Career-related Programme (CP). This ensures a seamless and rigorous learning journey across all grade levels.

All APG graduates complete the IB programme, consistently achieving results above the world average and surpassing national benchmarks. In recognition of its excellence, APG was rated “Outstanding” in the latest review by the Bahrain Quality Assurance Authority.

Since becoming a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS) in 2017, APG has remained committed to developing globally competent, morally grounded learners. The school places the student at the centre of every learning experience, focusing on holistic development, well-being, and academic achievement.
